6  Purpose Enhance learning ability through improving understanding of Korean. Induce early settlement and prevent halfway dropouts by increasing learning ability of international freshmen.  Operation Method 12 credits (15 hours) per week : Increase Academic Standards through Intensive Education Non-ISC recipients are able to take ISC classes by having separate interview. 30  Full freedom to choose courses except for the assigned ones. (ISC recipients= 15 credits, non-ISC recipients = 9 credits to choose freely)  Be careful when registering the courses under the BSM(Basic Science and Mathematics) criteria, e.g.,,,, Many International Students find the courses in the BSM criteria very difficult due to difference in Education System. 32 3. GLS and Course Registration

33 Sign-up on Kingo-Portal and Log-In to it. Click on the GLS button. Course Registration 1

34 1.Click on Courses → Electronic Schedule → Undergraduate Liberal Arts/Other courses on the left-hand menu Course Registration 1

35 2. Choose appropriate Academic Semester/Year. and Campus Choose Campus, Academic Semester Course Registration 1

36 3. Click the no. of courses under each criteria, and check the Course List Course Registration 1

37 4. Click Selecting Courses, and check Class Time/Classroom, Instructor in charge, then click ‘input’ in the Book Bag. Click Course code, and you can find the Course Objectives and syllabus. Course Registration 1

38  What is a BOOK BAG? The same as “Put in Cart” in internet shopping sites. The Book Bag is for Students’ Convenience. It does NOT mean that your course registration is complete once you put the course in the Book Bag! Course Registration is done in the Course Registration site : http://sugang.skku.eduhttp://sugang.skku.edu You can put up to 21 credits in the book bag Course Registration 1

39 5. Click on Putting in the Book Bag in the left-hand menu, and choose appropriate Academic Semester/Year and then click on Search to check your courses you wish to register. Course Registration 1

40 6. Go to sugang.skku.edu during the Course Registration Period. 7. Type in your Student number / Password, choose Fall semester, 2014 and click confirm. Course Registration 1

41 8. Click Book bag on the left-hand menu, and check your Course list. Click the Registration button, and the Registration complete pop-up message tells you that your course registration has been successful. Course Registration 1

42 1.Go to the Course Registration page (sugang.skku.edu) and enter your Student number/ Password, Fall semester, 2014, and then click Confirm. Course Registration 2

43 2. Click on Liberal Arts, and choose your campus Course Registration 2

44 3. Click the criteria you wish to register. Course Registration 2

45 4. Check the Course List Course Registration 2

46 5. Click on the Registration button, and the Registration complete pop-up message tells you that your course registration has been successful. Course Registration 2

47 6. Check your courses you have registered in the Final Course List. Course Registration 2

48 “I cannot register for courses”  For courses you could not register, check the vacancies frequently.  If vacancies are given in specific courses, it will be announced on the Notice board of CYAN Academic Information in the Kingo-Portal.  Course Registration Not Basic Course, but Major Course GLS → Courses → Electronic Schedule → Click on Undergraduate Major courses or Search for all courses Register the course which is listed under the College of Engineering, Department of Information and Communication Engineering.
