2 1. What is recycling? Recycling is processing used materials (waste) into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to virgin production. 4 2. What things are recyclable? The amount of waste which are recyclable is enormous, due to the modern techonolgy which is growing.

5 There are also non recyclable products which are thrown to the environment. They can damage it, for that reason we might choose products with the seal that shows that they can be recycled. There are also non recyclable products which are thrown to the environment. 15 The rate of glass recycling in Spain puts us in an intermediate position compared with other European countries, still far from countries like Sweden (94%), Belgium (92%), Germany (87%) and Denmark (84 %), enjoying the glass recycling rates highest in the EU.The rate of glass recycling in Spain puts us in an intermediate position compared with other European countries, still far from countries like Sweden (94%), Belgium (92%), Germany (87%) and Denmark (84 %), enjoying the glass recycling rates highest in the EU.
