16 Advice in creation of Video 1.Any changes made to your video in Youtube are permanent, so please ensure that you have a second copy of the original file stored elsewhere. 2.Ensure that the privacy settings are set to Private in Youtube – Only make the final version public and/ or share only with Charlotte. 3.YOU CANNOT USE MUSIC CLIPS UNLESS YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE CREATOR OF THE MUSIC, WHICH is very difficult to get! 4.Furthermore, Youtube DO NOT want you to upload copyrighted music. However, they do provide access to music called audio swap, which you are allowed to use or add when you are editing your video in Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/audioswap_m ain http://www.youtube.com/audioswap_m ain 5.Be careful when adding music, as it can overwrite original voice or music that was playing in background when the video was originally recorded. Slide the button that allows you to choose between Audio, music or both to ‘Equal’ – this will allow both the original voice-over and any new music added to be heard. 6.If you intend using Youtube to combine several different music clips, then you must add the music in Video Manager to each of the clips – then merge them in Video Editor. 7.Easier to use just one song on background – note: must use songs from Youtube catalogue of songs – which can be added within the Video Editor. 8.Only add keywords or captions (as opposed to long sentences) to each clip/ slide within Youtube.
