Choose your Future Career Path and Educational Degree Plan Your have the option to choose your future plans After conducting your research you must choose your career path There are two path for which you can choose from: Academic or Workforce After you have made your choice you must also choose your Career Cluster 1

View Your Choices from the HCC District Home Page Go to www.hccs.eduwww.hccs.edu Follow these steps: Select a Cluster (area you are interested in pursuing) Decide either workforce or academic View Degree Plan in your Student Center Complete the declaring your major form and submit to your college registrar 2 Click on Future Students > What Can I Take > College & Career Planner STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4

Choosing a Career Cluster To get started on the educational decision-making and planning tool, please choose one of the Career Clusters below that most relates to either the courses you are interested in or the career area you are trying to facilitate. Even if you are not completely sure about which way you would like to go, go ahead and choose which Career Cluster interests you the most. Academic Path Your plan is to attain a bachelor’s degree Your plan is to transfer to a university You will receive an Associate in Arts (AA), Associates in Sciences (AS) or an Associates of Arts in Teaching (AAT) 4 STEP 2

Workforce Path Your plan is to work immediately after finishing your program Some of these classes will not transfer to a university You will receive a certificate, or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) STEP 2

iAAR Also Called the Degree Plan or Degree Progress Report The new term for your degree plan is iAAR or the Interactive Academic Advisement Report Log in to your Student Center Select the link entitled “My Academics” The first title is Degree Progress Report & View My Advisement Report (iAAR) Select View My Advisement Report 6 STEP 3

This link will take you to the request to declare your or change your major. STEP 4
