Unicellular Made of one cell Can be a Prokaryote (no nucleus) Can also be a Eukaryote (has a nucleus)

Multicellular Made of more than one cell Always a Eukaryote

Why do Cells divide? Reproduce for a single celled organism One mother cell becomes two daughter cells

Growth and Development for multicellular organisms Growth- add cells so organism gets larger Development- differentiation occurs

Repair and Replacement When you get a cut cells at the site divide to repair and replace the damaged cells
