Achievements have been made in the development of transport: Before the Industrial Revolution, animals such as horses and mules were used for public transport.

After the Industrial Revolution, because of Watt’s invention, steam trains soon played an important role in public transport. Buses and ships then became popular as well. Underground trains also became popular as the traffic became too crowded in cities.
