Extension Mechanism Step-zoom lens –US Patent #6,940,658 –December 10, 2003 A step-zoom lens includes two movable lens groups; –a lens group support unit –a cam ring having a cam groove. Cam groove includes a finite number of focal-length steps to perform a focusing operation between infinite and closest positions at each focal-length step.

Redesign of Socket Socket for fluorescent lamp –US Patent #4,198,108 –November 13, 1978 Slide bulb pins into slots a certain distance then further force tilts socket outward until pins are in crevices, socket returns straight and bulb is retained.

Redesign of Socket Socket for fluorescent lamps –US Patent #5,855,487 –March 31, 1997 Bulb slides into slots and is held in place by a spring loaded stop hook. Removal is by pressing stop hooks outward and allow pins to pass by.
