13. EVVE Desk Guide NAPHSIS created this EVVE Desk Guide to provide authorized EVVE users with helpful hints on how to query using EVVE. The information in this guide should be treated as confidential and not shared with individuals that are not authorized to use EVVE. Alabama (1930)  Birth verifications can be requested beginning with 1930.  Birth certifications can be requested beginning with 1995.  Verification query requests require transmission of the state file number (SFN)  The SFN is located in the upper right hand corner of the certificate  Delayed births, amended/changed records and foreign born certificates are in the EVVE database
