2 Habitat vs. Niche Habitat = location Niche includes: Unique role of a species within an ecosystem Physical home Environmental factors necessary for the species’ survival All of the species’ interactions with other organisms

3 YOUR Niche Draw a “niche map” that shows how you use your habitat. Think about: Where do you gather resources? What kinds of resources do you prefer? With whom do you compete or cooperate? Where do you live or hang out? Do you spend certain times of the day in certain places?
