RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP '' Owner of animal is any natural or legal person or entrepreneur who owns an animal and is entitled to hold, keep, breed, transport, use and, to sell the animal, and who is responsible for the life and welfare thereof'' The owner or keeper is obliged to: handle the animals with the due care provide veterinary care

PET ANIMAL WELFARE OBLIGATION OF THE OWNER The owner is obliged to provide: appropriate care and accommodation freedom of movement keeping the dangerous dogs in prescribed manner identification adequate housing if he/she is not able to continue to take care of animals The owner is obliged to prevent: that pet animals endanger the humans and the environment birth of unwonted pet animals

PET ANIMAL WELFARE OWNER OBLIGATIONS If the owner is involved in breeding of pet animals in commercial purposes take care of health, life and welfare of litter submit to the person to whom they sell the animals written instructions on conditions and manner of keeping pet animals responsible for the disability and welfare of offspring or the female parent

PET SHOPS AND BREEDING ESTABLISHMENTS Animal welfare conditions is respect of space for animals, premises and equipment Registration OWNER OBLIGATIONS The owner is obliged to: take care of life and welfare of animals be trained on animal welfare give written instruction on the manner of keeping of animals he sell keep the records on: - number of sold animals - trade - feeding and - medical treatments

SHELTERS AND BOARDING ESTABLISHMENTS conditions for animal welfare protection Register of holding kept by the Ministry trained persons OWNERS OBLIGATIONS Before registration, the owner is obliged to submit to the Ministry proof that he provided: financial resources for the unobstructed operation conduction of animal health protection adequate accommodation for animals trained persons

SHELTERS OWNER OBLIGATION Owner of the shelter is obliged to: receive reports on abandoned animals provide accommodation abandoned animals provide animal health protection find the owner, or the keeper of animal return animal to the owner/keeper prepare animal care plan

LOCAL GOVERNMENT SHELTER OBLIGATIONS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT Local government is obliged to provide: shelter collection, transport and accommodation help, care and accommodation in the shelter appropriate veterinary care killing in the human manner create and implement program for the control and reduction of the population prescribe place and the manner of taking pet out

LOCAL GOVERNMENT SHELTERS DUTIES OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT Shelters established by local governments shall be used for the housing of: abandoned and lost animals animals whose owner/keepers are no longer able to provide them care animals confiscated by the Ministry animals that are in danger The owner of the shelter is obliged to: cooperate regularly inform
