2 Information about Hemlock Trees Hi. today I'm going to tell you why hemlock trees are important and what's happening to them.

3 Hemlock Trees and their Importance Carolina hemlock is a mid-size coniferous tree to southern Appalachian region. It has needles and cones and is an evergreen tree. They grow in many areas in the United States and especially love the areas throughout the Appalachian Mountains. They are very vivid in color. The loss of hemlock trees 

4 Hemlock Trees and their Importance Hemlock plays an important role in the environment. Hemlock helps provide shelter for animals and cools mountain streams. Hemlock is important in the way it provides shelter and living space. It can protect animals from predators, and let animals use it as a habitat or living space.

5 Hemlock Trees and their Importance Hemlock is very important in the water cycle. Hemlock helps cool mountain Strems. Hemlock is very important it helps with animals by cooling the water to let them be able to drink them.

6 What is Happening to Hemlock Trees? The un-known insect is called a Wooly Adelgid. Its very perplex how it got here. The Adelgid can come from humans traveling and migrating birds and mammals from all over the world. They can do so much to are Hemlock. Including extinction!!!!!!!!!!This could be very melancholy to NC our tourist. Some people might mistake this for snow.

7 What is Happening To Hemlock Trees? Did you know that all Wooly Adelgid are females? Do you know what that means? Each one lays at least 300 eggs and that means 90,ooo eggs in ONE YEAR!!!!!!!!! That’s very incredulous.

8 What’s happening to Hemlock trees.

9 What adelgid has done By 2005 it was established in portions of 16 states from Maine to Georgia, where infestation covered about ½ of the range of hemlock. If you ask me the adelgid is not amiable.

10 What could happen The loss of hemlock could have far-reaching ecological consequences because the trees are considered a foundation species in the native forest. People are trying to find a way to abate the Wooly Adelgid from spreading.
