International Nursing Code. (I N C) The basic responsibility of the nurse is "to preserve life, to prevents suffering, and promotes health". The nurse should carryout his\her nursing duties on the highest level and conforms to nursing service, and professional behavior. The nurse is obliged not only to be fully prepared for his\her work, but also to maintain a high and constant level of knowledge and skills. The religion beliefs of patient must respected.

The nurse safe guards the medical secrecy of patient. The nurse on duty not only to know his\her obligation, and also the limitation of professional duties. **The nurses are forbidden to advice medical treatment or administer it without doctor order except in emergencies and with atte ndance of doctor

International Nursing Code. (I N C)…cont The nurse is obliged to fulfill the instructions in an intelligent and trust worthy manner and to refuse to be a partner to any thing which is anti ethical. The nurse is loyal to the doctor and other colleagues in medical team, regarding any lack of qualification or any behavior of colleagues which is not ethical, the nurse must report this but only to correct authority. The nurse should accept his salary with agreement and not to accept other thing from outside.

International Nursing Code. (I N C)…cont Nurse doesn’t permit his\her name to be used for advertisement of any products. The nurse cooperates harmoniously with members of other profession and with his\her colleagues in the nursing professions. The nurse is steadfast in observing personal ethics which express belief in the profession. The nurse's behavior should be accepted by the community and members. The nurse is a responsible partner with other citizens and with other medical professions in increasing the efforts to supply the health needs of the local, national and international public.

In his/her work the nurse must show respect for the integrity of the patient recognizing that he/she is an autonomous person with individual needs and choices. * In his/ her profession, the nurse has an ethical responsibility for people at all stages from life's beginning to the termination of life.

Ethical Guidelines of Nursing…cont The nurse should acknowledge personal and professional responsibility for his/her own nursing practice and the assessments made in the line of duty. "The nurse is professionally, ethically, financially, and legally accountable for his/her own actions". The nurse must ensure that his/her professional practice is up - to date and he/she should contribute to the development of nursing care. {Documentation in the nursing field is of the utmost importance in his respect}.

Ethical Guidelines of Nursing…cont In his/her professional practice the nurse must ensure that the patient’s right of confidentiality of information is safe-guarded. In his/her professional practice the nurse must exhibit respect for the work of colleagues and in his/her professional capacity be supportive of colleagues. This does not prevent the nurse from bringing up violations of the basic principles of professional ethics and loyalty. {Successful co-operation is dependent on respect and professional loyalty among nurses}.

Ethical Guidelines of Nursing…cont In his/her professional practice the nurse should actively promote cooperation between the various groups of health professionals. {If a conflict of interests between groups of health professionals arises during such cooperation, the life and well-being of the patient is always to be given top priority}. In his/her professional practice, the nurse should actively promote new approaches in health care and seek to influence any new health care initiatives through his/her professional nursing knowledge and skills.

Do: you must 1.Show interest in patient's saying. 2.Let your face show interested. Use good manners. Speak clearly, slowly, pleasant way. Use normal words. Respect pt’s moods. Make your body movement look pleasing and energetic.

Don’t discuss patient’s information 1.One patient about another one. 2.Relatives and friends of patients, or other workers. 3.Visitors to the hospital. 4.Representatives of news media.

Don’t: you mustn't do 1.Let the patient think you are too busy to listen. 2.Refuse to do something you should do. 3.Use slang “bad words”. 4.Use loud voice, unclear when speaking with patient. 5.Use bad, sad gestures or unclear movements. 6.Leaving patient unexcused during conversations.
