The Ice Age The Ice Age was a period of time where part of the earth’s water was frozen. The freezing temperatures formed glaciers, which “locked up” much of the oceans water This frozen water caused the level of the oceans to drop When the water levels dropped, the land that was under water became exposed (Visible) This created a land bridge that connected Asia to North America

The Land Bridge Theory hunter-gatherers, followed herds of animals crossing the land bridge from Asia into North America and some regions of South America.

Causes and Effects for Native American Migration Migrate means to move Many hunter-gatherer groups moved to the Americas as they followed herds of animals such as the mammoth and caribou Hunters followed these animals on foot Because they moved to a new land they had to adapt, or change, their ways of living to meet a new environment
