4. R2 User Training (Beta) - Session IV May 15, 2013 Understand the Lifecycle States Draft o Preliminary resource, information may not be complete or accurate, unverified resource. Once a resource is depicted as Developed it cannot go back to a draft state. Planned o Planned resource in the ION system with planned updates and associations pending. Once a resource is depicted as Developed it cannot go back to a planned state. Developed o Verified resource accurately depicted within the ION system. Integrated o Resource is integrated within the ION system and is associated to a deployment and other resources appropriately. Deployed o Resource is in service and actively part of the ION system. Retired o Resource is retired out of service. Retirement of a resources is permanent & cannot be undone in the system by resource manager. 4

R2 User Training (Beta) - Session IV May 15, 2013 Reporting Issues Use the Report Issue button at the top right of screens o It automatically opens an email window with pre-populated information from the system. Or email helpdesk@oceanobservatories.org directlyhelpdesk@oceanobservatories.org Either way a Jira ticket is created, note that o Subject line is Title of ticket o Body of email is Description of ticket o Attachments are associated with ticket o Should receive a confirmation of ticket and that they can then "reply" to that email thread to further communicate about issue.
