4 Fundraising Volunteers to help assess/organise new fundraising initiatives. Eg: –Wine drives –Conference raffles Help us raise money through existing initiatives: –Corporate Ball raffles –Entertainment Books

5 Media and Marketing Pursue media exposure for WA Chapter Raise profile of WA Chapter within the state Co-ordinate media communications Develop & implement a system to monitor profile of WA Chapter Assist with producing promotional materials, Eg: –brochures, short films/videos, web

6 Grants/Sponsorship Review the monthly WA Easy Grants newsletter and compile grant applications where applicable Pursue sponsorship opportunities with WA companies (both engineering and non- engineering)

9 2010 EWB Challenge Help Support the Program

10 Four weeks in India or Cambodia. Two week homestay with local families Community development through hands on activity at construction projects, workshops and site visits Learn about community development through diverse experiences Development Education Experience

11 WA Office Interns For people interested in getting involved but have limited time: Aid with projects on an as needs basis Develop EWB learning and change resources Research Other NGO’s Policies in various countries Organising awareness events Reports on aspects of development

13 Working With Communities Project Teams PCs for Refugees

14 WA Project Team Nights Opportunity to work on our current community projects, for example: –Laos Pico Hydro Turbine Project –Tonle Sap Bio-digester –Tenganan Water Supply Project nights are run on alternate Wednesday evenings

15 PC’s for Refugees Tutors provide weekly one-on- one lessons in the home Gives the recipient a basic set of computer skills including word processing, email and web searching

16 Overseas placements Programs are run with project partners in South Asia and South-East Asia –Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, PNG, Indonesia, Timor Leste, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka Generally 3, 6 or 12 month placements Professionals and students

17 Join the WA Chapter Team Nights 3 weekly meetings Like-minded people Lots of roles which can be filled- by engineers and non-engineers alike!
