 Concerning sin we’re all in the same boat Rom. 3:23; 6:23  Jesus came to remedy our lost condition Lk. 19:10  We deserve death, but Jesus makes life possible! Heb. 7:25  The enormity of sin is seen in the high price of forgiveness 1 Jn. 4:10  Sadly most place no value on His blood 2 Matt. 1:21 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God For the wages of sin is death for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins

 The “golden text of the Bible” eloquently and profoundly expresses the greatest truth ever revealed Rom. 5:8  We should be supremely thankful for God’s attitude toward us Ezek. 33:11  We must never mistake God’s longsuffering to mean that He will not fulfill His promise 3 Jn. 3:16 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live

 We should be thankful God doesn’t care about things the world thinks are so important  God shows no partiality Job 34:19 4 Acts 10:34-35 Yet He is not partial to princes, nor does He regard the rich more than the poor; for they are all the work of His hands.

 Law of Moses made nothing perfect Heb. 7:19  Could not take away sin Heb. 10:1-4  It was a “yoke of bondage” Gal. 5:1  Now under law to Christ Gal. 6:2; 1 Cor. 9:21  We are married to Christ Rom. 7:4  We can have our sins forgiven and forgotten Heb. 10:17  What a blessing we are no longer under the Law of Moses 5 Heb. 7:12 you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another — to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.

 Still must work at it  Our faith not dependent upon wisdom of men 1 Cor. 2:4-5  Can and must test all teaching 1 Jn. 4:1,6  Must study and understand the book that will judge us Jn. 12:48  What a blessing! 6 Eph. 3:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him— the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day

 When grace meets faith salvation results Acts 18:8  Even though saved by grace, our faith is critical Heb. 11:6  Works of faith are an absolute requirement Eph. 2:8-10 7 Eph. 2:8 And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them

 Any evidence for that? Gen. 1 & 2; Rom. 8:32  We can face any difficulty, any obstacle with confidence and defeat any enemy 8 Rom. 8:31 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

 What a grand thought that God considers us His “fellow workers”  Every generation has a responsibility in regards to the “Great Commission.” Mk. 16:15-16  Each of us must play a part 9 1 Cor. 3:9

 Can you imagine that 10  Must be born again Jn. 3:3-5  Makes us a member of God’s family Eph. 2:19  Must remain faithful Col. 1:21-23; 1 Cor. 15:58  Our future blessing is an inheritance Matt. 25:34 Rom. 8:16-17 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you

 Paul was torn between two things  Realize it or not, but we live this passage every day 11 “For to me to live is, and to die is gain. Phil. 1:21
