Subject pronouns Capítulo 2A notes #1

What is a subject? The subject of a sentence tells who is doing the action. We often use people’s names as the subject. Ex: Sara es una amiga buena Ex: Carlos estudia el arte
3
What is a subject pronoun? Simply put, a subject pronoun replaces someone’s name. For example: If I am talking about Sara, I can use “she” instead of repeating her name over and over again. Ex: Sara is a good student. She studies a lot. (Sara es una estudiante buena. Ella estudia mucho.)

Use “Tú” with family, friends, people your age or younger, and anyone you call by his or her first name Use “usted” with adults you address with a title, such as señor, señora, or profesora. In Latin America, use “ustedes” when speaking to two or more people, regardless of age. “ustedes” is abbreviated as “uds.”
