Sogang Univ Wireless Communication Electromagnetic and waves 1831: Faraday discovers electromagnetic induction 1864: Maxwell presents his theory of electromagnetic 1877: Lord Rayleigh present his theory of sound propagation Application of Microwaves-Communication 1844: Morse invents telegraphy 1876: Bell invents the telephone 1885: Hertz demonstrates electromagnetic-wave propagation in a series of experiments covering a period through 1897 1894: Marconi, using Herts-type equipment, transmits telegraphy signal over two-mile path during the period through 1896. Marconi was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1909 for this work on wireless telegraphy
