Why was the Sphinx important to the Egyptians?
4
*The Sphinx was ‘protecting’ three important tombs: Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), his son Chephren’s or(Khafre) Pyramid, and the smallest pyramid built by Menkaure. *Archeologists have found that the Sphinx has no nose and they think that it was blown off by one of Napoleon’s solders when the French conquered Egypt.
