2015-2016 SGA JOB DESCRIPTIONS SGA President Presides at SGA Executive Board meetings. ( Senior President) Assists Assistant Principal in keeping Student SGA Officers on task and motivated throughout the year. Presides at SGA Officer meetings. ( All) Assists Secretary with daily announcements as needed. Helps Assistant Principal with social media communication as needed Plans agendas for Student Body assemblies. Oversees other members of Student Council. Acts as the SGA faculty representative. Actively maintains communication among all student body officers, administrators, and other stakeholders of school. Assists other student body officers as needed.

VICE-PRESIDENT Assumes Presidential role in absence. Serves as co-chairperson of SGA as necessary. Works with freshmen to help them in their transition and assists their class officers with events. Assists with any SGA task that requires additional support.

SECRETARY Keep an account of information discussed at every meeting Keep an accurate account of attendance at every meeting Maintain calendar of events and activities Send reminders Help maintain student government files Maintain contact information for people who work with the SGA and government members

TREASURER Oversee SGA expenses and revenues Maintain an accurate and detailed financial record Give monetary advice to the members Authorize payment/deposits Work with President and Vice President in preparing budget Fundraising Report of account at meetings

EVENT PLANNER Leads the supervision, planning, and implementation of rallies. Organizes student contests, dress-up days, and activities as needed to boost school enthusiasm. Works with Public Relations to promote all school events. Responsible for recognizing the energy level of the school.. Recognizes student birthdays school-wide, announcements, etc.

PUBLIC RELATIONS Keep student body informed of events, fundraisers, and service projects Responsible for communication between classes Help maintain student council website and social media

EXECUTIVE BOARD All senior class officers and All class presidents Planning and implementation of Homecoming Week. Senior Events to include: Prom, Trips, Baccalaureate, Senior Day Senior Lounge Spring Fling Christmas Black History Month Rallies, assemblies, and other pre-established events/traditions. Other student body activities and opportunities as requested and/or approved by administration.

GOALS By-laws: meeting dates, elections, membership, removal, code of conduct.
