Key words Long Term Disability Insurance- Pays an insured a percentage of their monthly earnings if they become disabled. Disability- a condition which prevents one from performing all usual physical or mental functions. Addiction- Compulsive physiological and psychological need for a habit-forming substance

Summary This Guy(Stanford) got addicted to a narcotic and went to rehab. Once he got out of rehab he went back to work, and got addicted to the drug yet again. He went into treatment a third time but his job refused to give him disability insurance.

Final decision He was unable to get his insurance benefits back because he was capable of doing his job after his third time of rehab.
