Disaggregation of indicators not specified, unless the indicator specifically calls for disaggregation (“by sex”, “for children” etc.) Only global indicators identified – countries will re-assess their targets, add indicators; regional and thematic indicators will be identified Many indicators will need further methodological work Metadata for all indicators will need to be revised

6 UNICEF priorities re: data for children in SDGs
Support countries to collect and analyse data from different sources - household surveys, census data, civil registration systems and administrative data - to generate baseline estimates for SDG indicators; Position UNICEF as global ‘custodian’ of indicators for children and lead thematic reporting on children in the SDGs; Develop and test new indicators and methods for enhanced SDG monitoring through household surveys and censuses; Champion the development of methods and tools for progressive disaggregation.
