I am also available most days after school, however, I will need to make arrangements one day in advance. Students and parents can e-mail me to set up any extra help sessions as well. As a rule, I stay after on Mondays and Thursdays. Students can also ask their peers for help and can use the internet. I can provide a list of helpful math sites if needed.

General Class Information All of our classes are off to a great start! Students are participating in class and coming to class prepared. (They should have paper, a folder, a pencil, and a calculator every day) Students should take responsibility for knowing what is expected and should stay informed about tests, quizzes, project deadlines, etc.

Grades A detailed explanation of my policies, expectations, and grading procedures was sent home with each student on the first day of class. If you are unsure of any policies, please do not hesitate to ask. Class Participation= 10% Homework= 10% Projects= 30% Tests and Quizzes= 50%

What to Expect Students will receive a homework assignment each day that we have class. They are expected to check the website to make sure they have the most updated information for their class. There will be a quiz every week and a test at the end of every chapter. We will work on projects throughout the year.

Algebra 1 Students in this class can keep their assigned textbooks at home. They will have access to texts in our classroom also. They can also login to classzone.com and utilize the online textbook features. Students were issued calculators. They must have them in class every day. They are financially responsible for their calculators if they are lost or stolen.

Algebra 2 Students in this class can keep their texts at home until further notice. Students were issued calculators and are expected to have them in class every day. They are responsible for them if they get lost or stolen.
9
Precalculus Students can keep their texts at home. Students are expected to stay on top of their work and to be proactive in getting help when needed. This is a practice run for post secondary coursework. There will be times when a topic is assigned and students will be expected to teach the material to themselves and they will be held accountable for it. Resources will be provided in order to ensure success.
10
11 th Grade Testing Students in 11 th grade must take and pass the NJ HSPA test which will be given in March. Doing well in Algebra 2 (or Precalculus), completing homework assignments, and participating in class will help to ensure their success on this exam. Students may take the SAT exam later in the year. Please check with the guidance office for specific information.
