Day Two PROBLEM STATEMENT: HOW CAN WE AS RESEARCH REPORTERS CREATE AN ONLINE BLOG THAT UTILIZES RESEARCH METHODS TO ANALYZE THE DIFFERENCES IN DAILY PROBLEM SOLVING ACTIVITIES? Objective: Students will identify groups roles and understand rubric/work ethic expectations. Students will identify what they know about the task at hand and what they need to learn in Order to successfully conduct the research needed to answer the problem statement. Agenda: * Attendance * DOL * Read Chapters 1-2 of Island of the Blue Dolphins * More in-depth discussion of rubric and work ethic checkpoints * Assign group roles/tasks * Knows and Need to Knows

AGENDA: Attendance DOL Greek and Latin Roots Read Chapters 3-4 Direct Teach Powerpoint Workshop on Research Methodology BIG 6BIG 6 Stations: Battle with Research Method SMART board activities WIX Online tutorial over Research method and students will take notes
