Do-Now Use a marker to write the adjective you chose to describe life in the internment camps on the post-it provided. Place your post-its on the poster at the front of the room. Popsicle Stick Talk: – What do our adjectives have in common? – How are they different? – Can more than one be an accurate description? – Why or why not?

Group Task Share your adjectives with the group Fight for your adjective! Prove why yours is the best description using evidence. As a group, decide on the best description, and, on your posters, provide three pieces of evidence to support the claim.

Presentations and Vote! Each group will have a representative share out their statements and evidence As a class, we will discuss the statements and vote on the BEST description of the camps During today’s read aloud, we will all gather evidence to support our class description.
