4 12-CRS-0106 REVISED 8 FEB 2013 WIE 2015 Highlights Promotion of forming new R10 WIE AGs –3 new Section WIE AGs were formed (Sri Lanka, Philippines, Hong Kong) –32 new Student Branch WIE AGs were formed R10 WIE Support Fund –Received 35 proposals from 19 sections (10 countries) and 29 projects are awarded with budget USD 8,000 –27 projects completed (2 projects were cancelled )

7 Project 1 : Formation of new WIE AG, activate inactive or less active WIE AGs Project objectives : to form WIE AGs in diversified areas in R10 (north and south east Asia) to guide for performing activities in less active or in-active WIE AGs to encourage WIE membership development and retention of WIE membership after graduation How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : (1)Conduct and complete WIE survey, based on survey outcome, (2)Target new WIE AGs, (3) Identify the inactive AGs (4) Face-to-face meeting/Skype meeting/twitter chat to guide the formation and to learn problem of inactive WIE AGs (5) Design WIE mentor and mentee program(WIEMMP) (6) Develop strategy for WIE membership development and retention of WIE membership Project measureable deliverables : (1) No. of newly formed WIE AGs (focus at least 3 Section AGs out of South Asia) (2) No. of meetings with key- persons in sections that have no WIE AGs (3) No. of events conducted by AGs after receiving benefit of WIEMMP (4) No. of activities in inactive WIE AGs (5)No. of tweet chats/webinars for WIE membership development (6)No. of tweet chats/webinars for retention of WIE membership. 9 Project 2: WIE Support Fund 2016 Project objectives : to help initiate/motivate new projects/activities in WIE R10 by providing full/partial support fund for project implementation to the section AGs/SB AGs How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : (1) Seed funds partially help establish/continue the implementation of full scale projects in various R10 sections WIE AGs (2) Full support fund for small scale project implementation to student branch WIE AGs (3) Encourage proposal submission from less active/inactive WIE AGs Note: All project submissions require endorsement from Sections.
