6.4 Law Of Sines

The law of sines is used to solve oblique triangles; triangles with no right angles. We will use capital letters to denote angles of the triangle and lower case letters for the corresponding sides. A triangle is determined by 3 of its 6 parts (angles and sides) as long as at least one of these parts is a side.

Law of Sines ASA or SAA: one side and two angles SSA: two sides and the angle opposite one of those sides. Law of Cosines SAS: two sides and the included angle SSS: three sides
