What you’ll learn Use the Law of Sines to solve oblique triangles. Use the Law of Sines to solve, if possible, the triangle or triangles in the ambiguous case. Find the area of an oblique triangle using the sine function. Solve applied problems using the Law of Sines.

Take a note: Up until now, our work with triangles has involved right triangles, And for that we use the Pythagorean Theorem. But there the oblique triangles, those are the ones that does not contain a right triangle. Many relations exist among the sides and angles in oblique triangles. One such relationship is called the Law of Sines.
