This song, We are the world, which was written by Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson, was sung by 45 stars at the time in the USA to show people’s great concern for the victims in Africa, as they had been suffering a lot from the terrible poverty. In this way, this group of 45 stars, on behalf of all the people around the world, showed their love, care as well as sympathy to the Africans, hoping them struggle against famine and poverty.
