Peer City Analysis (Part 2) Our peer cities and those we compete against for jobs are largely led by Executive Mayors, not City Managers Greatest challenge to cities today are economic/financial – not corruption. Mayors have best ability to lead efforts to attract employers/businesses to region - requires political leadership Mayors have best ability to lead efforts to share services/merge operations – requires political leadership
8
Overview Clarity of who is in charge, and accountability for City services. Finger-pointing and ducking responsibility for poor performance will stop; and Voters will finally know who to hold accountable for the quality of City services.
