Vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat, poultry, or fish. Vegetarian eats a plant- based diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds. What does it mean to be a vegetarian?

Tofu – comes from soy beans, like many soy products, it absorbs flavors from other foods easily. Tempeh – is a pressed caked of fermented cooked soybeans mixed with grains. It is popular in Indonesian cooking. Seitan – wheat gluten is used to make seitan. It’s made by simmering flour in a broth flavored with ginger. Quorn – is made from the protein in mushrooms and shared a meaty texture. Quorn was developed in Great Britain in the 1970’s and is popular in Europe.
