CONJUNCTIONS: AND / BUT AND is used to connect two ideas of the same type or importance. Example: James is wearing a T– shirt, shorts and sneakers. BUT is used to connect two ideas showing contrast or difference. Example: It’s sunny but it’s very cold. Complete these sentences, using and or but. Then, practice with a partner. 1.
