Update your Skills Most jobs require that people continually learn new skills. We have many ways to improve our skills. Training (sometimes called professional development) and you can decode what type of training you need.

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE? Decide where to get training : Identification what type of training you need( schools information, maybe college programs, or any location training in your state. Informal on- the- job training This type of training from a supervisor or coworker.

Company training: Some employers have their own training department for improving skills of their workers. Certificate training: Some type of training is usually offered through an outside training programs. Many schools offer classes during evening hours or on weekends for people who are working.

Formal postsecondary training: This type of training is offered through community colleges, colleges, and universities. Online learning: There are many ways to learn new skills online. Websites such as Khan Academy and YouTube offer free online instruction.Khan AcademyYouTube Paying for school: If training is required for your job, your employer may be willing to pay for it. If you want to improve yourself, you will pay for the course.

Learn About your Employer Before accepted the job, you will have opportunities to learn more about your future job. Your research should include : Organization mission : this part describe why company is in business; Organization structure : more information about organization structure; Policies : we were probably with a list of workplace polices when we started our job. It is very important to understand these policies and follow them (look like rules); Career paths : talk to your supervisor about career paths at your workplace.

Learn About Your Industry Industries are made of groups of companies or organizations that produce similar items or provide similar services. For example nurses work in the health care, government, and military industries. Knowing about the industry you work in will help you to know about your career opportunities.
