Why WASC Certification? 2002 – UC/CSU Policy - requirement of WASC- accreditation to establish and/or maintain “a-g” courses on high school transcripts WASC/CDE process serves as the basis for the Single Plan for Student Achievement Required for Cal Grants (financial aid) Military recruiter expectations Teacher – credits for years-of-service at non- accredited schools not recognized by many schools/districts nationwide 6/23/20164
