5. VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES One way in which UCL’s museums and collections can help to improve student employability is by offering opportunities to student volunteers to gain hands-on experience of museum work

8. OBJECT-BASED LEARNING Museums and collections help students’ to improve their employability through the object-based teaching that they support. Through focusing on museum objects, students learn in a hands-on, active and experiential way, which helps them to develop important transferrable skills in areas such as communication and team- working.
