16 What is a WSA?  Identifies Responsible Public Water System  Identifies Existing Water Supplies and Demands for the Project Together with Existing and Other Planned Uses  Makes a Determination of Sufficiency

17 SB 610 Facts  Went Into Effect 1/1/02  Applies to Residential Developments > 500 units & Commercial and Industrial Developments of Specified Sizes  Requires Water Purveyor to Determine the Following: If Sufficient Water Supplies are Available If Sufficient Water Supplies are Available Existing Uses and Planned Future Uses Existing Uses and Planned Future Uses 20-year Planning Horizon 20-year Planning Horizon Evaluate Normal and Multiple Dry Year Hydrologic Cycles Evaluate Normal and Multiple Dry Year Hydrologic Cycles  City’s Makes Final Determination Based On All Available Information

18 Cannery Park Development  450 Acre Mixed Use Development  Project is within the current General Plan and Service Area  Directly adjacent to existing City limits  Project water will be provided using surface water and groundwater  Increased system demand is met with groundwater

19 Cannery Park WSA How was it prepared?  City hired Montgomery Watson Harza (MWH) to Prepare the WSA  MWH used the Integrated Groundwater Surface Model (IGSM) to Evaluate the Groundwater Basin Sustainable Yield and the Impacts of this Project
