The goal of this lesson is to help students see how courage can be used in positive ways that can help you in many areas such as: building friendships doing well in school learning about your interests resisting peer pressure stopping bullying

What is your definition of courage? Come up to the whiteboard and write down your definition of courage Decide as a whole class what the best definition is

Courage: the ability to face your fears. Courage: to face fears with determination and confidence.

There is one feeling that must be present to demonstrate courage. Does anybody know what that feeling is?

Fear Yup, that’s right. You can't demonstrate courage without having fear. Definition of fear: to be afraid of something.
