Water Today we are going to talk to you about water and the importance of it.

Facts There is not enough clean water all around the world for everyone. In fact most of the world’s water supply isn’t clean enough to drink.

Facts All of this unclean water is filled with bacteria from faeces and many other germs. Which therefore makes those who drink it very ill.

Water Most people from around the world have to walk miles to get their water. Even then this water isn’t clean!

Facts about water... A person can live a month without food, but only about a week without water. If a human does not absorb enough water it can lead to dehydration.

Facts about water... By the time a person feels thirst they have already lost over 1 percent of their total water amount.

Facts about water... About 25,700 litres (6,800 gallons) of water is required to grow a days food for a family of 4.

Water in Africa In Africa there are some people who are very privileged and have access to clean water. But others are not as privileged and have to walk miles to the closest water supply which may not necessarily be clean.

Water in Africa Many children and adults die due to contaminated water.

More than 1.5m children under five die each year because they lack access to safe water and proper sanitation, says the United Nations children's agency.

Shocking facts like the previous one really tells how privileged we all are, having fresh water supply which we all take for granted.
