10 minutes to finish up group work Page 120 of textbook (“Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”) Student A and B: Fill-out worksheet on quotes based on Puritan Theology. You may split up the work (#1-3; #4-6). Student C: “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Using Edwards’ language and rhetoric as inspiration, choose a quote from the text or from the worksheet and visually represent the image. Drawing must have color and must be neatly done. Student D: Based on the drawing from Student C, explain the purpose and effect of imagery in “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” in paragraph form. How does the appeals link to the drawing? Why might authors use imagery to appeal to fear, vanity, or pity?
