Gyan-key initiative is working towards opening libraries in rural secondary schools. It is a unique concept –a library for the students, by the students.
4
The library will be managed by one of the girl students “Gyan-key monitor”

3 Gyan-key libraries every working day. Till date we have opened 3,055 libraries in 3,055 rural secondary schools in 1,075 working days benefiting more than 7,60,000 rural students.
6
Each library has minimum 180 books on various subjects in local languages, that benefits approximately 300 rural students of 8 to 10 villages. To instill a sense of ownership & belonging, Students will be encouraged to donate books on their birthdays, regardless of its value, for ‘their’ library.
7
At just Rs. 5,555/- you have a chance to contribute for a worthy cause that provides you an opportunity to inculcate a reading habit in rural secondary school students. To build transparency, the money will be collected in the form of a cheque drawn / transfer directly in favour of the distributor. You will receive letters from the schools and reactions from students once the library is established, besides regular updates on the progress.
