Comprehensive interviews with administrative staff are complete and findings are being collated and prepared in written form for Full Committee review. The same will be done with insights gained from the focus group meetings and 38 faculty interviews completed by March 7th. The review of role and responsibility assignments for those involved in research administration and compliance functions is nearing completion. Final Committee review is being sought on the “future state” version of the matrix. Faculty on the Committee are specifically reviewing their roles and will forward comments back to T. Champagne. The remaining 16 policy and procedure areas are being addressed by Huron. Some areas will require policy/procedure edits, others (where no policy or procedure exists) will receive “recommendations” on policy content and structure from Huron. All 20 policy/procedure reviews will be complete by early April. From the interviews, aspects on how UGA can enhance training and education programs for research administration are emerging. The Committee will take the time to review this data in upcoming meetings. Recommendations will be formulated to enhance UGA’s current approaches. A. Key Committee Activities and Accomplishments:B.
