1 Highlands-Kenya By: Brandon Finn and Jackson Hagedorn

2 Building a school Our school is helping kids in Kenya by building a school. We need people all around the community to help donate $2,500 to the Ed Colina foundation.

3  School location This is where the school is going to be located in Eluaai, Kenya.

4 what the school looks like Water tank In addition we will be giving them a 4,000 gallon water tank to go with the school.

5 Dangers and school problems  Getting to school is dangerous because the nearest school is around 8km by walking.  Many children don’t go to school until the age of 10 or 11, if at all.  If going to school, the kids are placed in a class with much younger students.

7 Ed Colina About Ed Colina  Ed colina has been involved for 26 years  In February of 2008, Ed began his solo projects to aide poor Masai women and children living in Athi River, Kenya

8 More about Ed Colina  After completing 26 years of education- based work he left his job as administrator, sold his home in Northern Kentucky and began his work in Nairobi, Kenya in September, 2007  Traveling to Africa, Ed volunteered with a renowned organization and NGO Nyumbani. Nyumbani

9 First reason why you should donate  Most of them only eat about one meal per day  They have to pick seeds from the plants that have already been picked  If this school is built, we will provide a lunch for them everyday

10 Second reason why you should donate  Building this school will allow more people to be educated and smarter  It will allow kids to go to school at earlier ages  And also they will have a bigger chance to make more friends

11 All About masai  While the men are away with the herds, the women and children are often left alone to face serious difficulties.  Women are encouraged to, and typically do, give birth each year.  Children are delivered by birth attendants, who operate well below hygienic standards.
