Northview High School Library Media Center (NHS – LMC) There are two media specialists: Mrs. Dawson and Mrs. Childree

Northview High School Library Media Center (NHS – LMC) Hours: 7:45 am – 3:45 pm. The media center opens each morning at 7:45 and closes each afternoon at 3:45. Students may visit the media center with their classes, or they may come individually or in small groups with a teacher's pass.

Northview High School Library Media Center (NHS – LMC) ~BOOKS~ The NHS media center currently houses over 15,000 books, including more than 4,000 fiction books, more than 700 reference books, and almost 10,000 nonfiction books.

Northview High School Library Media Center (NHS – LMC) ~BOOKS~ Books are checked out for two weeks at a time, and students may have up to three books out at a time. Late fines are five cents per book, per day. Patrons can browse the titles from any computer with internet access. A link to our OPAC (Online Public Access) is located on the library page of Northview's website.

Northview High School Library Media Center (NHS – LMC) ~IDs~ IDs are handled through the media center. Your very first NHS ID is free (one time only). Replacement IDs cost $5.00 each and must be carried at all times while on campus. Northview High School lanyards are available for $2.00 each.

Northview High School Library Media Center (NHS – LMC) ~Computers~ There are two computer labs available for use. The Mac Lab can accommodate 29 students, while the Dell Lab has 36 stations. Students can work individually or in small groups as assigned by their teachers.

Northview High School Library Media Center (NHS – LMC) ~School Store~ The media center is headquarters for the NHS school store. Here, students can purchase necessities like pens, pencils, notebook paper, binders, and notecards, along with many other items. We also maintain a selection of NHS booster items including t-shirts, pennants, caps, and decals.
