The Case of Grandpa’s Painting Detective Pintura Tomás Brener and Andrés Kaminker

Our Problem Miss Fiona Featherduster came to our place and told us that his grandfather had a very big art collection. But he was dead and the only thing remaining was a painting she wanted to know if it was valuable. He had a list but she didn’t know which was it.

Our Research We first believed that it was a Van Gogh painting but after comparing it we realise that it wasn’t his work. We thought that it could be Millet work because Millet always painted about real life people. He believed that people shouldn’t only paint irreal paintings. The way it was painted was similar, same with what it represented.

Comparing the Paintings The Mistery PaintingMillet’s Work “The Gleaners”

In the end My secretary Ruby arrived to the office and tossed me the day’s issue of The Tribune. It said that a maid stole a priceless Millet’s painting. Days later I got a postcard from Tahiti, Miss Featherduster send it.

Jean-François Millet October 4, 1814-January 20, 1875 Millet was a French painter. He was recognised as a part of the Realism art movement. He inspirated a lots of very famous painters like Vincent van Gogh. His art is mentionated in some of the letters that Vincent sent his brother. His works often represent real life situations.
