Our job is to convene these disparate groups in order to craft an economic base that expands existing business, promotes new economic opportunities (jobs) ………….. Ponderments: Employers choose the best person for the job, with little concern to where that person lives. People choose to live in areas that afford them a certain lifestyle, and tend not to move if they can commute to a new job.

Concluding Thoughts: Employers choose the best person for the job, with little concern to where that person lives. People choose to live in areas that afford them a certain lifestyle, and tend not to move if they can commute to a new job. East County’s economic prosperity is dependent on a reliable, multimodal transportation network that connects people to their jobs, and employees to their employers.
