Joint Types Fibrous allows for no movement (skull) Cartillaginous Allows for little movement but no flexibility (spine/ribs) Synovial allows for large degree of movement/flexibility (shoulder/knee/wrist)

Parts Muscles: always alternating to allow for full movement Bones: provide motion when pulled Tendons: connect muscles to bone Ligaments: connect bone to bone Cartilage: connective tissue used for protection Bursae Sacs:fluid filled sacs used for protection between bones
