Biostratigraphy - Graphic Correlation Uses any event that can be tied to the absolute time. –First and last stratigraphic occurrences of taxa (e.g., 1st appearance of P. helvetica in the geologic) –First abundant occurrence of some taxa –Magnetic reversals. –etc.
