GREVY'S ZEBRA BY: SARA MALONEY Also known as the Equus Grevyi

HABITAT AND DIET The Grevy’s Zebra inhabits dry, semi-desert grasslands of Africa. Zebra’s diet is predominately a grazer eating mostly grasses.

STATUS Zebras are an endangered species. Only about 1500 are left in the World.

REPRODUCTION AND GESTATION Mature at 3 or 4 years of age. Gestation period of 13 months every couple of years.

PREDATOR/PREY RELATIONSHIP Zebras eat grass, grass being the prey, zebra being the predator. Lions are predators to zebras and the zebras are the prey.

CONSUMER Zebra is a consumer, on the 2 nd level. Many bigger animals eat them.
