INFLUENCING FACTORS (1) Bias : This question asks for opinions so, it has bias. Ethics: I do not believe there are any ethics in this question. Cost: There was no cost for this survey. Privacy: Questions are asked without taking note on who's answering them (age, gender etc.). Time and Timing: Trends in music now could affect the opinions of the people who are asked. Cultural Sensitivity:Some people could prefer a certain genre based on their culture.

OUR PREFERRED SAMPLING METHOD Systematic: Ask people from a list using a certain pattern. i.e.: Every third person. This is a good method because it is not biased. We used this method because of that and the fact that it was very simple. There are also many possible patterns to choose from. This sampling method allowed us to easily figure out who to ask without worrying about bias. We used a sample and not the population because asking the whole population would take too much time. It would also be more difficult to organize the graphs and calculate the results due to larger numbers. Taking a sample to represent the population is much simpler and much more convenient because it takes less time to get the data we need and it is easier to organize and calculate.

OTHER SAMPLING METHODS Simple Random: Randomly draw/pick names from a list and ask those people. An advantage of using this method is that it's not biased but, it's possible to choose a lot of people who have the same opinion by accident. Stratified: Pick different lists from different categories, i.e.: grade 9's vs grade 10's, then randomly pick from each list. This is a good method because it is not biased but, it is complex. Voluntary: Ask people to answer our survey, but because it's voluntary people might only answer if they are interested. Convenience: Ask the first few people who come by. This is good because it's convenient but, it could be biased depending on the time and place where you ask.

SUMMARY 1.)Which music genre do you prefer the most? -Most people picked the Pop genre, this is possibly due to Time and Timing, because Pop is what is trending now. This question also has bias because it asks for opinion. Lastly people could prefer a certain genre due to their culture. Next time we could reword or change the question do get rid of these influences. 2.)How does music help you the most? -Most people said that it helps them to have fun. This question has bias because it is opinion based. Next time the question could be reworded to get rid of the opinion bias. 3.)What do you listen to music from the most? -Most people picked Phone. This is likely due to Time and Timing because, with today's technology and trends, many people use their phones for many purposes such as listening to music. This question could also have bias, because the people I asked can choose what they use to listen to music and that makes this question opinion based. Next time this could be avoided by rewording or changing the question to get rid of these influences. Sampling Method: -An error that could be due to our sampling method is that we could've chosen more people from a certain group i.e.: more girls than boys. To avoid this next time we could use the stratified method to keep each group/category even.
