8. Employer Outreach Greetings…. OHDC is a nonprofit organization and we help people find better jobs preferably a year round position. If you hire an OHDC client you will be hiring a highly dependable employee who has worked hard in order to attain the skill levels needed to qualify for a better job. We also offer incentives for employers that hire our clients such as OJT’s or On the Job Training agreements where we would reimburse up to 50% of a new employee’s wages for a set amount of hours. In those instances where you don’t want to start an OJT without committing to a client, we can offer a 2-4 week Work Experience (WEX) in which we would pay them and they would work for you gaining valuable experience and at the end of the WEX we could easily transition this into an OJT or you can hire them directly. If you interview an applicant and you think he or she might qualify for our program please don’t hesitate to call us so that we can enroll them and get them started on an OJT. We can also give then some assistance for new wok clothes, gas or other supports that can sometimes be a barrier for some folks in starting a new job.
